Spending most of my life in the Detroit, Michigan area, my creative path began with a degree in photography and a love for visual storytelling. I’ve worn many hats—photo lab tech, picture framer, nanny, office manager—all while nurturing passions in art, design, and gardening. These roles sharpened my adaptability and eye for detail. As an Executive Assistant, I stepped into marketing—managing web content, designing ads, and photographing products. Though rewarding, I felt a pull toward something more creatively fulfilling than a mostly administrative role.
After a major life shift, I reassessed my direction and using my new friend, ChatGPT I discovered UX design—a perfect blend of creativity, psychology, and problem-solving. I enrolled into a UX Foundations course and was immediately hooked by the challenge and impact of user-centered, accessible design.
Now, I’m pursuing a UX role where I can collaborate on inclusive, empowering solutions—especially for women and older adults. As a midlife career changer, I believe it’s never too late to create meaningful work that improves lives.
